Wellness Exam

Here at The Animal Hospitable we examine your pet from nose to tail! We examine their eyes, ears, and skin, listen to their heart and lungs, we also check their neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for abnormalities. We will also perform blood and/or urine tests when necessary to check your pet's liver, kidneys, pancreas, and endocrine system (which includes the thyroid and adrenal glands). Based on your pet's condition, we may recommend additional diagnostic testing, such as radiographs (x-rays), ultrasound, or biopsy.

If you have any questions during your appointment please let us know! Or if you think of questions after feel free to either call, text or email us! We will respond as soon as we can!

We also recommend that when your dog reaches a year of age to get tested annually for heartworm. Visit this link to learn more about heartworm.

When your pet starts to reach their senior years (7-8 years of age), we recommend doing routine blood work every year. This is to help us have a baseline of values for your pet to compare to as they age. For more information on this, please read this brochure on senior wellness testing.

If you are concerned that something may be wrong with your pet, please call our office to schedule an appointment.
